The main emphasis of the class, however, is to provide Field Officers, investigators, and prosecutors practical and effective tools to conduct investigations and supervise offenders more effectively.
This hands on class provides tools and information related to searches, digital investigations, computer examinations, cell phone examinations, using the internet as an investigative tool, collaborating with other agencies, preparing and conducting sex offender registration compliance operations, and ensuring offenders are in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and policies. This course does not take the place of specific training in such areas as sex offender risk instruments, sex offender registration, or other state specific training. Such classes are also crucial to effective supervision and should be taken in addition to the SOSO BootCamp course, not in place of it.
